The MPU-6050 sensor module is a single chip which consists of an accelerometer and a gyro. For each channel, it contains 16 bits analog to digital conversion hardware. So that it can capture the x, y, z channel at the same time. The MPU-6050 sensors module uses the I2C bus to interface with the arduino.
