Arduino is an electronics prototyping platform microcontroller board based on easy to use, flexible software. It is designed for students, electronics designers, professionals, artists and hobbyists to create interactive devices.
Arduino Uno board has 14 input/output pins (digital). Each pin operates at 5V. It can receive or provide maximum of 50mA. In this 6 of them can be used as PWM output. Functions pinMode(), digitalRead() and digitalWrite() are used to make pins input or output. It also has 6 analog inputs, ICSP header, 16 MHz ceramic resonator, power jack, USB connection and reset button. It is made up of everything to support ATmega328 microcontroller. Connect PC/laptop via USB Cable to program it with Arduino Software. It can be powered using an AC-DC adapter or a battery. Uno features an Atmega16U2 which is programmed as USB to serial converter to avoid the use of FTDI USB to serial driver chip.
