ABSTRACT

A key aspect of fire protection is to identify a developing fire emergency in a timely manner and provide the necessary support as fast as possible. Automatic sprinklers are the major part in all the fire management systems. The conventional fire management systems operate in such a way that if a detector detects smoke or heat, then the sprinkler will be switched on along alarm sounders to warn others in the building and nearby. But here the chances for false triggering of the system are more because the system checks only the smoke is detected or not. It does not check for temperature change and presence of flame. In this project we are developing a system which has multiple sensors to check and verify whether there is fire or not. The sensors used includes temperature sensor, flame sensor and smoke sensor. The system avoids the smokes from irrelevant cases such as cigarette smoke, welding etc. The sprinkler will get activated along with the alarm when any of the two sensors detects the presence of fire. When the sensor values are back to normal the system stops sprinkler and the alarm.
